Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Child Support

Voluntarily left New Jersey and quit my job. The only work I could find, does'nt pay what I was making in New Jersey. Am I eliligible for a reduction in my child support?

Re: Child Support

Yes, but it will depend. You just can't switch jobs and make less money and get a reduction. It comes down to what you are capable of making. In this case, it seems like you quit your job on your own. Just because you can't find work where you are at now should not be the other party's fault. It will come down to why you left NJ in the first place.

Thus, if you really want to give this a good shot, I suggest you get an attorney. My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.
