One party does not want the divorce
There is really no way you can ultimately stop the divorce. You may be able to delay it, simply by refusing to cooperate. But that would likely only cause you emotional distress and much money in increased legal fees. My main question to you is why would you want to continue to be married to someone who does not want to be married to you?
Keep in mind that this information is given based on the scanty facts that you have provided. And no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. In order to be able to rely upon any advice, you need to meet with and retain an attorney, who will be able to give you advice after a full and comprehensive interview. Before you do anything, you should contact an attorney for a full consultation. Good Luck! Rob Gleaner
Re: divirce
Your best move is to get a good attorney. You cannot stop the divorce.
Re: divirce
New Jersey divorce law does not have any provision with which you could block a divorce because there is a ground for divorce known as "irreconcilable difference" for six months, which does not require that the difference be described or proven. If he wants a divorce he will get a divorce.
