It all depends. Alimony is required where there is a marriage and the earnings are widely different. Whether alimony is permanent or temporary depends on the length of the marriage and other circumstances. More specific information is required to give a better and more accurate answer. You might give me a call.

As Mr. Moore said, there is not simple way to determine alimony, it depends on a variety of circumstances. Child support however is all based on a number of calculations with the primary data being the incomes of both parties and the visitation schedule; however, many other factors may impact this calculation. I've seen many child support awards calculated wrong and there is no redress if you discover this years down the road, i.e., even if it is wrong, you can't get your money back. Thus, it pays to spend some money now on an attorney to make sure you are not paying more for years to come. My consultations are always free, so give me a call at 732/247/3340 and we can discuss your case and the different options you have.
