Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

My ex and I have been living separately for over 6 years. I have tried on 2 occasions to file for a divorce with little cooperation from him. Now that he is in a relationship he has served me and asked that I handle the paperwork through a 'self help' service. I am looking to hire a lawyer since there is a home (currently close to foreclosure due to my economical difficulty) and two children. I am now unemployed and will also seek spousal support. I want to move to Pennsylvania to a better school system and want to make sure I follow the correct procedures.
