Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Marriage counseling

I am seeking divorce on grounds of extreme crulety in New Jersey. What if I were to have a change of heart and wanted my spouse to go to marriage counseling? He is not interested in going as he has a girlfriend? What are my rights? Can I force him to go? We have been separated for almost 6 months and he lives in Pennsylvania.

Thank you!

Re: Marriage counseling

If you do not have an attorney, get one.

No, no one can be forced to go to marriage counseling.

I do not understand your question. You say Husband is living in another state, and has a girlfriend, and has been separated for 6 months, and does not want to try to reconcile. How do you possibly believe that you can force him to reconcile?

You need a good attorney. Let me know if I can assist.
