Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

non custodial parents obligation to provide adequate space

I have a divorce agreement stating my children should spend no less than 26 overnights a year with their father. He has had my daughter twice. He has lived in a sizable home with his sister for a 1.5 years and refuses to provide either of our children with a room. When my 13 yr old son visits he has to sleep with my ex husband in his room. My 15 yr old daughter has only been there twice. He told her to go sleep in his sisters bed. Is he required to provide at the very least a bed and some privacy for his children when they visit?

Re: non custodial parents obligation to provide adequate space

You absolutely can ask the Judge to protect your kids from unsafe conditions. No bed and no privacy is bad for 15 yr old girl and also for 13yr old son especially b/c his aunt is around.

I would be able to help you. Please give me a call.
