Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

my sister's ex boyfriend is telling her that it was illegal for her to not let him see his son for 30 days....he does not pay child support and there is not visitation rights from the court......was that illegal?

If there is no parenting time order, anyone can do anything they want. In order to establish the rules, one of the parents would need to go to Court and ask the Court to establish a custody/parenting time Order. Any issues related to children are determined based on the best interests of the children.
