Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

If someone has temp residential custody of a child and told the judge they had to move out of state, in order to move do they have to go back to court to revert the res cust to the other parent. The judge used the word revert back to the father

In order to move out of state with a child, you would need to go back to the Court and make a motion to be allowed to take the child out of state.
