Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Hello, my wife and I have been having problems for a while now because she says I'm over-baring and don't let her go out every with guy friends (it's every weekend now). We have 3 kids and I'm the main care taker. She goes out every weekend while I babysit. I also found texts on her phone with her guy friends. When I confront her, she gets angry and tells me that I don't let her live her life and she wants her freedom. Her father is a very, very wealthy and powerful man, He is close to billionaire (yes, billionaire). Everything is in her name including our $3 million+ home. We've been married for 13 years and I have been the stay at home parent while she ran her business. What are me rights? Do I have any, being that her father put everything under her name. One more thing, her father has a team of lawyers working for him 365 days a year when needed. She wants me out of our house and I have no money to move right now. Help!

You have not mentioned what her business is, but assuming that she has some earning capacity, and the two of you are not merely living off of her father's money, you may have a very good alimony claim. And even if the home is in her name, you have an interest in it by the fact that this is the marital residence. You may have other rights as well and you should definitely seek the assistance of any attorney.

Keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit of information that you have given to me. There certainly may be other factors that would change my opinion. Further, no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. You will only be able to rely on advice from an attorney who you have actually retained. Good luck! Rob Gleaner
