Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

My antique car has been in shop for over 2 years. I was told originally it would take 6 months to complete. Can I take car unfinished due to body shop not being honest with me? They keep giving me false dates. I have paid 35,000.00 of a 40,000.00 bill.

To properly answer your questions i would need to obtain more information. Is there a written contract/agreement with the restoration shop? Was there only an oral agreement?
