Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

I got caught shoplifting at Walmart. I know it was stupid. I'm 16 and I live in NJ. They didn't contact my parents, but they called the cops. They gave me this letter that said "Civil Recovery Statue" and that I have to pay $150, which I don't have, obviously, or I wouldn't used that money to buy what I stole. But what happens if I don't respond to this? Will they go further? I don't want my parents to find out. I'm freaked out. Please help!
