Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey
They dont want to pay me for a job i did
Hi my name is diana
i opened a cleaning company for my dad under my name. We found some people on craigslist saying they needed cleaning crew. We met up with them and they gave some foreclusre houses to clean. When we met with them we told them we did not yet have insurance so he said is ok no problem we�ll work something out, we never signed a contract. They sent us emails daily with the locations of the houses and their codes to get into the house.They told us most of our contact would be trhew emails. He said we can try it out for the first two weeks and if we wanted we can keep doing it if not then ill bill them and they�ll pay us and that would be it. I sent them an email informing them we wont be able to work with them because it was more the lost than the earnings. This was in december and i have not yet received my money. I tried contacting them numerous times, they ignored my phone calls and don�t answer my emails. I don�t have any prove other than my phone bill , the codes and pictures of the house we worked on. What can i do to get my money? Can u please help me?

1. Don't do that again.
2. If the amount owed is large enough, you may be able to interest a lawyer in helping you to collect. Save whatever proof you have. It won't be an easy case and you will need whatever you do have.
