i want to change my last name back to my original one. i was adopted and the person who adopted me help me with the green card paper. If i chane my name will it affect my resident status? Is it even possible to change my last name?

You can change your name without affecting your status. You will need to obtain a new lawful permanent resident card after you change your name.
