Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey
Too long of a wait!!
Hi, I am inquiring about my husband's immigration case which was filed years ago. I am a U.S citizen and my husband is dominican (residing in the Dominican Republic). The reason I am sending you this e-mail is because I just informed of a way to speed up the process. A friend of mine who happens to be going through the same process informed me of a possible way to get my husband to be here and finish his process here sooner than the time calculated ( I-129F). I don't know if this is true or how this process works. If true, please advise of such and if not true, is there any possible way to speed up this process. It's just been a long agonizing wait and when I call no one seems to give me a straight answer. Hope you can help me with this. Thanks for your time.

Re: Too long of a wait!!
Hi. I know you didn't mention how long it has been but it is unusual for it to take "years" for the spouse of a US citizen. Now the answer is yes, you CAN file for a K-3 visa but I would also inquire as to why it has taken so long up until now. Do this, give me a call the office and we'll spend 5-10 minutes on the phone and see if I can get some information from you to clarify what is going on and what your options are. My name is Sameer and my number is below. Be sure to mention that I wrote back to you on this site.
