Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New Jersey

contracts

once a contract is signed, can one party adjust the contract with out the other parties signature? For example, we signed a contract for X amount of web space, there is no mention of what extra space would cost on the contract also there is no mention of bandwith on the contract but yet the company wants to charge me. Is this possible?

Re: contracts

To answer your first question, no, one party cannot amend the terms of a contract without the other parties' consent, unless the contract specifies something to the contrary.

Regarding the extra charges, the ability of this company to charge you depends upon what the terms of the contract say about extra charges.
