Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey
I recently had a baby and took maternity leave. Before returning to work my employer contacted me and informed that I would be switched to a different team and department. After 2 months from returning from maternity leave, I had a medical condition that required me to take some vacations for additional testing. One week after I informed my boss that I might need to take additional time off due to medical reason I was told I will be laid off because they're eliminating my role. I was giving a raise and promotion a few months prior to my maternity leave which proves I have strong performance in the company. I am not apart of any union and work for a large corporation. Do I have a case for discrimination?
