Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey

one family house 3 rents

i live with my family in small one family house. and this landlord is pretty greedy enough to give 3 rents including us first floor. he gave rent this loft conversion to a lady and garage to some guy even if i have right to use this garage. i even pay for this garage separetely. and now he even tries to rent basement. I just want to know what he gets if i report this to building department.

Is there a law that landlord suppose to report security deposit status to tenant every year?

Greetings

Landlords subject to NJ Rent Security Deposit Act are to provide notice to the tenant of the bank, the account #, as well as the annual interest earned on your security deposit.

I'm not sure what you want to "report" to the building dept. I handle landlord/tenant matters on a regular basis, please feel free to contact me 973.985.0597 or 973.562.3744.
