Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey

tenant/landlord issue

Am I responsible to pay full rent up to date my LL closes on the sale of my apt., or to the date he signed the contract of sale ?

He was supposed to re-rent it, but decided to sell.

Re: tenant/landlord issue

Unless your lease says otherwise, the sale of the property should not affect your tenancy. You can star for as long as the lease permits and you have to pay for that also. The new landlord has some special requirements regarding the handling of security deposits. You should remind him that he needs to get that money from the current landlord because he is responsible to make sure that you get it back.`
