Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New Jersey

Hospital Misdiagnosed me,,,

I was very sick for a while and had went to the emergency room when it was really bad. The doctors took xrays and checked me out and told me i had bronchitis and bronchular ear infections. She knew that ihad taken antibiotics recently and they did not work but she subscribed them anyway. Any way i took the medicine and still had not felt any better. At this point I thought I was going to die I was so ill and depressed for six months. I went to another doctor and she told me right away I had an alergy.I had watched what I ate afterwards and found out i did indeed have a peanut allergy Now collections are sending bills to my house and they want me to pay these bills that are over 1500. I just got back on my feet because the allergy affected my job. I could not work. And this is very expensive. I dont think I should have to pay. this doctor did not do her job. And caused me major depression. How do I go about disputing the charges if possible and is there anyway I can sue the doctor?

No. I am not sure if there was any malpractice and even if there was your damages seem small. In nj you need a doctor to review this case and the cost of retaining the doctor would be more than your bills. It just is not worth it.
