Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New Jersey

Motion to Dismiss

Hello have a Medical Malpractice filed and my lawyer just signed off on the case and the person I am sueing just filed for a Motion to dismiss the case what is the proper legal way I would handle this till I can find a new Lawyer to replace the other one. I do not want to make no mistakes and get laughed out of the court.

It is imperative that your consult with an attorney immediately. You are in a situation where the case may be dismissed shortly and you will have no recourse. In order for an attoreny to consider taking the case, he/she will want to review the medical records and any expert reports to determine if there is merit and whether it is worth taking. This takes time and a willingness to step into a situation which may be less than optimal. Act quickly to contact other attorneys to review this case. Hope this helps.
