Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New Jersey

Total bi-lateral hip repacement

Dec. 2005 had right hip replaced.Right leg ended up being approx. 1 inch shorter than left.Discussed correcting problem when left hip needed to be replaced.Sept.2006 had left hip done.Surgeon said he could correct problem. No improvement!Leg length causing serious complications.I believe the surgeon had a chance to fix it, but neglected to do so. I am an otherwise healthy 51 yr. old male.

there are certain x-rays that are done during the operation to ensure proper leg length. Who did the surgery and where was it performed?

What reasons were given for the length being different after the first surgery? Did they indicate that they wuld be evened out after the second surgery? What are the serious complications you are suffering as a result of the leg length difference?

I might add that usually a 1 inch leg length discrepancy can happen after this type of procedure also it is usu. Usually it is pretty easily correctable by use of orthodics. I am curious as to what problems you are having, but I would think that it can be mechanically corrected as noted above. Have you discussed that with the doctor?
