It's not the "basis" but what is written on the DD214. OTH is a characterization of service, not a reason for discharge.
The DD214 will have a block that shows reason for discharge, characterization, and re-enlisment code/restrictions.
Look at Blocks 21+ on the DD214 (or NGB22 if a NG), or the letter if Reservist.
