Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

I was charged for simple assault against person A, then I established probable cause and charged person A for simple assault. Both charges were later mutually dismissed by the proseutor. Now person A is asking me to pay his medical bill since he went to hospital and did X-ray without any serious finding.

Should I pay or will small claim court find I am responsible for the cost associated with Person A's medical check up?
