Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

fall down escalator

my son fell down a long escalator staircase on Christmas eve in Crate and Barrel he was knocked unconscience, taken to the ER via ambulance, huge bump on head and stitches needed on ear, he's doing ok but banged up and scared-never heard a word from company and I'm upset by that-I have no insurance and I'm wondering if they (C&B) can be held liable for medical bills?

Re: fall down escalator

Depending upon the extent of the injury and whether there existed any hazard causing the fall, you may have a viable claim. As for the medical bills, you could see if the hospital might consider writing it off to "charity care". If you'd like to pursue a claim, we'd need additional information in order to evaluate its viability. Please feel free to contact me or any of my partners at the Blume Goldfaden Firm via the profile information provided on this site. We look forward to speaking with you, and will assist you in any way we can.
