Expired driver's license

My sister was stopped and then realized her license was expired. She has since gotten it renewed. When she goes to court, can she just show her renewed license or will she still get fined?

It depends upon the court. They don't have to just dismiss it since at the time your sister got stopped her license really was expired, so she really was guilty of the charge. However, since she did fix the problem, the prosecutor may just agree to dismiss it. She should go to court and see if the prosecutor would agree to this.
