Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
Improper passing
I am a 20 yr. old college student and I recently got a ticket for improper passing in NJ. That is 4 pts. on your license. What do you think the chances are of me beating it or getting it knocked down to less pts. Up until now I have a totally clean record. If my insurance goes up I will never be able to afford it. Do you think I should get a lawyer? Thanks

Re: Improper passing
hi - you should defintely get a lawyer. often, a lawyer can get a better deal than you might be able to get on your own. feel free to call me at 609 263-0089 if you have any questions. good luck !!
Re: Improper passing
As with any appearance before a Court of Law, it is trongly recommended that you seek the advice of an attorney. Depending upon the circumstances of your case there may be a way to save you some points or maybe even "beat" it. Without knowing more about the details of your specific case it is difficult to say for sure, however, there is hope.
Should your ticket be no further North than the Trenton area and should you wish to speak to me about this matter, I offer free consultations. Please contact me at (856)616-8080 or [email protected].
Once we speak you will be in a better position to assess whether or not it is worth paying an attorney to assist you when you consider any potential surcharges/insurance hikes, etc.
Thank you,
Daniel B. Kelley

There is a good chance that your offense could be
"plea-bargained" down to a lesser point offense,
or even to a no-point offense.
Please feel free to call my office at(856)797-1414,
