Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Multi violations

My son is 17 and was is accident a fender bender, no damage to the other, just his car, he was issued a careless driving ticket. We question the officer and he said we can pled it down it court. We have a court date. In the mean time my son was driving on the GSP Exit 25 doing 94 in a 65, he got a speeding ticket and a reckless driving ticket.

The speeding and reckless driving ticket court date is first, do we have to mention the careless driving ticket.

What do are the chances of the speeding or reckless ticket disappearing.

Chances are great that your son's charges can be handled in a way that the points that he receives are minimal.

Re: Multi violations

On the speeding and reckless tickets your son is looking at 9 points. On the Careless ticket he is loooking at two points. He may be able to go alone on the Careless ticket and get it knocked down to a 0 point ticket, but I don't think he stands a chance of getting any changes done if he goes on the other case with the 9 points by himself. He will probably lose his license because he is a beginning driver and has all those points. I would strongly recommend you hire a lawyer for the court where he has the speeding and reckless tickets. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to this in various ocurts in New Jersey in the past. I would like to speak to you about this in more detail. Please contact me at your convenience. There is never any charge for simply talking to me about a case. Thank you.

Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.-
