Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
I am in NJ. recently I received a ticket for "39:4-92.2 Failure To Change Lanes For Emergency Vehicle". Apparently this law went into effect January 2009. How am I supposed to know when new laws go into effect if I don't get informed?
Regarding the above, I slowed down and tried to move to the left but, wasnt able to move to the other lanes because cars were passing by, I would have bumped into them.

This is a zero point ticket that carries a fine ranging from $100.00 to $500.00. Whether or not you are aware of the law is immaterial. Regarding the circumstances of your case, you have to decide if you want to try and fight this or just pay the fine. Please contact me if you would like to discuss your case in more detail. Thank you.
