Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
I was park working on my laptop when a cop drove by pointing the spotlight at my vehicle. She ran my liscense plate and it came out suspended she backed up and pulled behind me pointing the spotlight at me. I waited for her to walk to my car, but led me to believe she wanted me to move. I moved subsecuently she pulled me over for driving while suspended. I got the notice of suspension 9 days later dated by the post office 7 days after I got pulled over. Is this entrapment and can I get a dissmisal because of the late notice?

You should get an attorney ASAP. Depending on what you are suspended for or how many 3:40s you have has you could be facing jail time. Notices, postmarks etc are important to present to the prosecutor.

Save the notice AND the envelope it came in.
It sounds like you have a valid defense, it is not entrapment and you cannot get it dismissed but can possibly get it reduced to an offense that will not hurt you. this ticket can be serious but lack of knowledge is a defense, please feel free to call me I have had good success in representing people for these kinds of tickets. Save the notice and the envelope it came in. And save any other papers you got from Motor Vehicle.
You have a defense to the driving suspended ticket, and that is a very serious charge.
Give me a call, come in and see me, and I will defend you.
