Re: Grandmother's will

You can obtain a copy of the will (for a fee) from the Surrogate's Office in the county where your grandmother lived at the time of her death.

Re: Grandmother's will

4 YEARS IS A LONG TIME TO WAIT. CALL THE SURROGATE'S OFFICE WHERE YOUR GRANDMOTHER DIED AND THEY WILL TELL YOU IF A WILL WAS PROBATED AND WHO WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR. FOR A SMALL FEE THEY WILL SEND YOU A COPY OF THE WILL. OR, GO THERE AND YOU CAN SEE IT FOR FREE. IF YOU WERE LEFT SOMETHING, YOU SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED A COPY OF THE WILL, SOME COMMUNICATION FROM THE EXECUTOR OR THE ESTATE'S ATTORNEY, AND AN ACCOUNTING OF THE ESTATE. IF THIS WAS NOT DONE, YOU MAY HAVE A CLAIM AGAINST THE EXECUTOR.
