Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

My sister is executor of my mothers will everything is equally divided in 3 for me and my two sisters. she passed 12/10 and the executor is draging her feet not returning calls and wanting to purchase my mothers house but she just put her house on the market 11/10 and says will purchase the estate home when hers sells. is their a time limit we can put on her? she also took my mothers cars and has been using it for almost a year now and not paid for, it is this legal?

I agree with Bob that the remaining heirs can and should put pressure on the Executrix to act properly and do things correctly. She cannot use estate assets for her personal benefit without equalizing value between her and the other heirs. It also does not seem fair, if she is doing it, that the estate may be paying house bills (real estate taxes, insurance, utilities, etc.) while she is keeping it off the market because she wants to buy it. I suggest that you and your other sister consider retaining your own attorney to oversee things and keep them straight.
