Legal Question in Workers Comp in New Jersey
Breaking COmtract
I am working a company which sponsored me H1-Visa in December. I signed a contract with the company that if I leave the company before 3 years I will pay them $25,000. But they are paying me less compared to other people in the same position.
Is there a way I can get out of this company before my contract ends?
Thanks,
Dana

Re: Breaking COmtract
From what you have said, it appears that the only reason you want to leave is because you can get better elsewhere. If that is the only reason, you do not have much to hang your hat on. You can pay them $25,000 and leave and go work for the other company.
You have signed a contract and you have to abide by its terms. Howver, there may be circumstances where you can contemplate a breach of a contract or grounds upon which to void the contract. Before I can tell you anything about that, I have to see your contract and ask you many many many more questions.
