Legal Question in Workers Comp in New Jersey

Settlement of Workmans Compensation claim

I injured both wrists at work. I received workmans Compensation and had carpel tunnel surgery on both wrists. What would be the average settlement paid to me from this injury?

Re: Settlement of Workmans Compensation claim

The settlement will vary greatly depending on the level of permanacy that you have. I strongly recommend that you see an attorney to handle this matter. Normally the majority, if not all, the fees are paid by the comp carrier. Moreover, the average recovery is substantially higher when represented by counsel.

The values are reached by establishing hte level of permanancy. This is based upon a percentage of disability of the body part and the higher that is, the higher the amount. The carrier will generally offer a percentage that is less than waht an indepdendant docotr hired by an attoreny on your behalf would determine.

We can help ypu with this type of claim. Please feel free to contact us, we have six attoneys who handle only this type of claim.

Re: Settlement of Workmans Compensation claim

The amount of the settlement would depend on the level of disability found by the doctor your lawyer and the insurance company lawyer would send you to. Those doctors would find a percentage of disability and usually a compromise is reached between the percentages found by the two doctors. Once that compromise is reached the percentage is compared to a disability payment chart prepared by the state legislature every year. From that we would be able to say how much your case is worth. I will say though that it sounds like you have a very good workers compensation case. I am an attorney who has handled hundreds of cases similar to yours in various workers compensation courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me so we can discuss your case in more detail and I can tell you what I can do to help you in your case. There is never any charge for simply talking to me about a case. Thank you.

Sincerely yours, Ronald Aronds, Esq.
