Legal Question in Business Law in New York
Business partnership
Hi, there's a small business that I plan on becoming partners in, what league paper work would I need to make its happen? The company is a corporation do I just get stock in the company or is there other legal forms that need to be signed?

Before you become a part owner in a business you will want to do your homework. You should make sure there is nothing wrong with the business if it has been running before you came in to it. There are a number of steps you should take when entering into a business with other people. I highly recommend consulting with an attorney and having a buy/sell agreement with the other owners in the corporation. An improperly run corporation could subject you to personal liability.
