Legal Question in Business Law in New York
I own a cleaning service and have a written contract that clearly states a late fee will apply if i do not recieve a phone call . the money i billed out to the company was not paid to me as stated in my contract. i attempted to leave messeges with there other employees, but they said they never got them the contract states that they are to call me. Not me calling them to chase my money. I gave the company a second written bill. the owner called me screaming that i needed to call her and ask for my money. that is not how it works. she said she is breaking the contract. and she is not paying late fees. this is my second problem with non-payment from this company. can she break a contract over voicemail and what should be my next step

Your only recourse is to sue for the breach, including late fees. It is clear the company has no intention to pay you.
