Corporation using dba
I signed a contract with tosell construction corp. However i found out that the name of the company has been changed to touseull associates inc. But the had me make all of my checks out to tosell construction now their saying that is the companies dba name can they do that because i found no record of that name being a dba at the nassau county clerks office only the name change

A DBA should be registered in every county where the corporation does business; however, your corporate people may not know that, so it may be registered just once in one county clerk's office.
