Legal Question in Business Law in New York

Internet advertising

I'm going to start on-line(internet) classified / advertising website. In order to have some ads at the beginnig of this project I'm thinking of taking advertisement text from local ''Yellow Pages'' and placing it on my website. Since I don't intend to register any corporation or LLC and only register a company as an owner/operator, would I be in any legal trouble for displaying some company advertisment on my site without that company knowledge?

Thank You,

It is illegal to post any advertising relating to any person or company without their consent. You could be subject to severe civil liability, and possibly criminal charges as well.

Should you like to discuss this or any other legal matter, you can e-mail me for more information about low cost face-to-face, on-line, or a telephone consultation with a lawyer in our office.
