My first question is whether or not you have any general liability insurance? If so, this would satisfy any judgement up to the limit of the policy. I am not licensed in NY, therefore I can only speak in general terms. A judgement can be satisfied by seizing any assets including any monies in the general treasury including grant money. If you have insurance, contact your agent about contacting a lawyer to represent you in this matter.
Good luck!
