Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

Judgement release

I have paid a default judgement in 2005 and it has shown up on one of three credit companies with a mortgage company as not being released. Is there a form or something I can send to this lawyer in order to sign off on the judgement ????

Help.....Ken

Re: Judgement release

You should probably request a copy of the release which should've been executed by the judgment creditor(mortgagor)after you paid the default judgment. Once received, then send a copy of it to the credit reporting agency(CRA) which is still carrying it on your report as unsatisfied and request that the report be amended to reflect this fact.
