Kick out of school because of sexuallity

I have a eighteen year old girl living in my house with my family. This girl is not a blood relative of mine. She has been going to a private school in Watertown, NY. She has receintly been kicked out of the school because of her sexual orientation. What if anything can be done for this young women?
