Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

As a Pastor of a local Church Assembly. What are my/ church members rights when it comes to removing a disruptive congregant or visitor, from a Service? If the persons is asked to leave yet refuses to go, can they be physically extracted, without the risk of being in trouble?

That is a very tough question. The answer is that your security guards can only use a reasonable amount of force. It all depends on how violent the person who is disrupting your church is. If you are too rough you are inviting a lawsuit.

BTW... I speak at churches from time to time. Please check out my website www.kesslerlawyer.com and check out the video section. Kindly see my video with Rev. Birkett from Church Alive.
