Legal Question in Technology Law in New York
Privacy Agreement
I am creating an internet storage facility for a doctor to store files that contain private patient data. I am going to provide as much security as possible, however I'm looking to have him sign something that will protect me in the event data is comprimised. Is there a standard document I can use for this? Or how should I go about setting this up? Thanks!

Re: Privacy Agreement
This is by way of general, and not legal, advice:
There are no "standard forms" for this sort of thing that I'm aware of, though it's not uncommon for a service provider to disclaim liability for disclosure due to either the service provider's gross negligence or willful actions, and for failing to provide a reasonable level of care.
Drafting the agreement, besides these clauses, you'll want to pay attention to the disclaiming of the stardard warranties per the UCC as enacted in the relevant jurisdiction in the form required, even though a sale of goods is not involved.
