This is a very broad questions; however, the basic answer is no. Of course, as you should know, there are different levels of pornography with none to severe consequence for possessing such material.

Well, the general answer is "of course not--what would make you think so?" By specifying "written" porn, you are not including visual depictions here. A rule of thumb may be to think of who might be deemed victimized. If a child is filmed or photographed, that's an easy case of victimization, hence illegal. Not so with a written "story" or "fantasy." The one exception I can think of would be a convicted person on parole--it is conceivable that a condition of parole would be not possessing even written pornography, particularly involving children. In this situation, society may deem the "victim" to be a "potential" one, given the parolee's adjudicated dispositions.
