Legal Question in Constitutional Law in New York

Question

Dear To Whom it may concern,

I have a question on discrimination. I feel everyone should be treated equal in this world, but in a lot of cases that doesn’t happen. I live in a community where there is majority white. There are about 2 to 3 African Americans families that live in this community. This is my situation me and this person got into an argument. A week later me and the person had to appear in court. The court decided that both me and him would do community service. We both was assigned to do 40 hours. I was shocked to hear that they had dropped his community services hours. I would say that he did about 5-6 hours of community service, before they dropped his hours. I don’t see that as right when they tell me I have to be at community service or they will put me in jail. I’m really tired of this town always discriminating on me. I would never think that a court house would do that. I don’t see why he doesn’t have to do his hours. I don’t see myself more special than him. And I don’t see him more special than me. We are both equal and should be treated equal. Would I be able to sue them for discrimination?

Thank You For Your Time

Re: Question

My first question is why haven't you gone back to the court, prosecutor, or person who decreased his community service to have yours decreased also? If they don't drop yours, then ask why there is a disparity. That may be your simplest solution to the problem.
