Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
What can I do if a car dealership added options to my factory-orderd car without my permission & how can I handle this?
New York,
I ordered a factory-ordered car from a dealership. I filled out the purchase order with the exact options that I wanted. The agreement was signed by me & the manager of the dealership. The sales rep. notified me by email about adding navigation to the car. I responded to him by email tellling him No, that I did not want the navigation in the car. The sales rep. on his own, called the factory in Germany & had the navigation added at an additional cost of $3000. Since the car is coming from Germany & takes 2 months to get here & is in it final stage, the navigation cannot be removed. I do not have a VIN# for the car as yet because it is being built. The navigation was never added on the purchase order & there was no amendment to the purchase order to add it. What are my options in this case. - Add additional information
