Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
Why is it legal for cell phone companies to charge you "line charges" for a cell phone that has not even been activated? They know you can not use the cell phone until it has been activated. How can this not be fraud? And how can they legally charge you "activation fees" until you have actually "activated" the cell phone? I think there should be a class action suit brought against the companies that do this type of practice. They are gettting paid millions of dollars for NOTHING! at the consumers expense!
