Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

A judgement has been entered against me. I never received any papers to inform me that there was a lawsuit. How do I remove judgement?

You must file an Order to Show Cause to vacate the default judgment. The affidavit in support of the Order to Show Cause must set forth 1) a reason why you failed to answer the summons and 2) a defense to the claim.
