How can I get damages from a relative that has been stealing my financial information and managed to get a credit card with my info

The first things you need to do is document this with the credit card company, credit reporting agencies, and file a report of the id theft with the police.
Thereafter, depending on the size of the loss, you may want to sue him in small claims court. However, if the claim is large enough and the person has assets or income to go after, you may want to hire an attorney to pursue a civil claim. Otherwise, you may want to hire an attorney just to clear up the mess with your credit.
