Beating someone up without causing injury is call harrasment, a Penal Law Violation, a minor, non-criminal offense punishable by up to 15 days in jail or up to a $250 fine, if committed by an adult. You could possibley be charged in Family Court. No lawyer would take a cicil suit for money damages against you.
