An individual who has absconded law enforcement or a court jurisdiction is subject to arrest on a fugitive warrant UNTIL one of two things occurs:
1. the fugitive has been arrested and service of the warrant successfully returned or;
2. the warrant has been rescinded by the issuing judge.
Failing one of the above, the warrant remains outstanding,and the fugitive subject to arrest. One cannot simply wait out or outlast a fugitive warrant.
